Your journey with us
Proper medical care, daily counselling and a calm place in the hills of Kangra. Whether it is chitta, smack, alcohol, bhang or pills, the path to recovery follows the same honest steps, and your family walks it with you.
Get in touch- 1. The first call
It starts with a private conversation. You or your family can call us at any hour. We listen, ask a few questions and tell you honestly whether our programme is the right fit.
- 2. Assessment & admission
Our doctor and counsellor meet the person, take the medical and substance history, and explain the plan to the family. Admission papers are completed with the family before the stay begins.
- 3. Supervised detox
The first days are the hardest. Withdrawal is managed under medical supervision, with rest, proper food and someone around day and night.
- 4. Residential rehab
A fixed daily routine of morning yoga and meditation, one to one counselling, group sessions, duties and time outdoors. Structure is what rebuilds the habit of living without nasha.
- 5. Family sessions & discharge
Addiction affects the whole house, so families join counselling sessions. Before going home we sit together and make a relapse prevention plan for real life.
- 6. Aftercare
We stay in touch after you leave through follow-up calls and visits. If things get difficult again, our door is open.

Questions families ask us
Can't find your answer here? Call 062304 15581 and talk to our team directly.
How do I find a genuine nasha mukti kendra near me in Kangra?
Look for a centre where a doctor handles detox, counselling happens every day, and the staff let you visit and ask questions before admission. Eshan Charitable Trust is a nasha mukti kendra at Tanda Kholi, Kangra, and families are welcome to call or visit first. If you are searching for a rehab near me anywhere in Kangra district, we are usually a short drive away.
We live in Palampur, Dharamshala or Nurpur. Is this a good rehab centre near us?
Yes. We work with families from across Kangra district, including Palampur, Dharamshala and Nurpur, as well as other parts of Himachal Pradesh. Call us and we will guide you on the route and what to bring on the first visit.
Do you treat chitta (heroin) addiction?
Yes. Chitta addiction treatment is one of the most common reasons families contact us. It usually starts with medically supervised detox, because withdrawal can be very hard on the body, followed by a longer residential stay with counselling, routine and relapse prevention work. Stopping chitta suddenly at home without support often ends in relapse, so please talk to us before trying it alone.
Can you help with bhang, charas, ganja or smack addiction?
Yes. We treat cannabis addiction (bhang, charas and ganja), smack and other opioids, misuse of medicines and pills, and alcohol. Each person gets a plan based on what they use, for how long, and their physical and mental health.
Is alcohol de-addiction treatment available?
Yes. Stopping heavy drinking suddenly can cause shaking, sweating, sleeplessness and in some cases seizures, so alcohol detox should happen under medical supervision. After detox, the focus moves to counselling and building a daily routine without drinking.
How long is the rehab programme?
Our full residential programme runs for 180 days. Detox usually takes the first one to two weeks, and the rest of the time goes into counselling, routine and preparing for life back home. The team will explain the plan for your family member after the first assessment.
What makes a centre the best rehab in Himachal Pradesh?
There is no official list of top rehab centres, so judge any centre by what happens inside it: medical support during detox, trained counsellors, a clean and safe place, respectful treatment with no violence, family involvement and proper aftercare. Ask every centre about these things, including us, before you decide.
My family member refuses to go to rehab. What can we do?
This is very common. Call us first. Our counsellors will guide you on how to start the conversation, what to avoid saying and how to handle refusal. Recovery works best when the person understands why they are getting help, and we will explain the next steps clearly and within the law.
Is my call or enquiry kept confidential?
Yes. What you share with us on a call, on WhatsApp or through this form is kept private and used only to help with treatment. We understand that many families worry about what people will say, and we respect that.
Can family members stay involved during treatment?
Yes, family is part of the treatment here. Families join counselling sessions and receive updates on progress. Visits are arranged according to the stage of the programme, and the schedule is shared at admission.
How much does treatment cost?
As a charitable trust, we try to keep treatment within reach of ordinary families. Fees depend on the programme and the medical needs of the person, so please call 062304 15581 and we will explain everything clearly before admission.
